7 Quick Takes Friday (Monday)
This is my first post of the “7 quick takes” that is run by Jennifer over at Conversion Diary which is a website i’ve only recently started following. I cant quite remember how i found the blog but i am glad i did because it contains a wealth of knowledge and experience invaluable to anyone going down the same path.
Last week was a good week at work were i felt i achieved a lot of goals. I am always so busy that the time literally flies past and in my new role i feel like i definitely contributing to the company and its well-being. Sounds corny but I DO give a damn about my job and company.
Networking via twitter is going extremely well and I am finding so many wonderful fellow Christians out there. As an atheist i often thought Christianity was virtually a minority religion on perception alone. Now I know I couldn’t have been any farther from the truth. So many wonderful brothers and sisters out there!
My website finally got off the ground and i started to seriously invest some time in it. This is going to be the focal point for recording my journey now going forward.
My faith continues to grow and develop guided by the will of God and his plan for me. I cannot describe the truly joyous feeling it gives me to be a servant of Him!
My book testimonial is fast approaching 4,000 words after a complete re-write to make it simply a much more readable and relevant piece of work. I felt the original draft I began in December became too convoluted and detailed to be easy on the eyes so I scrapped it all and started again. I needed to focus more on the conversion and less on the background. Just needed a refocus.
I love watching “The Passion of the Christ” over and over again. This film is so fantastic that i cannot recommend it enough! It is such a powerful, gripping, and emotional story that really brings Jesus to life on the screen. The portrayal of Jesus by James Cavaziel is just absolutely staggering and blows me away every single time i watch it. Not to mention the powerful cast of supporting actors. I frequently watch this film!
I’ll be flying off to the Philippines March 2nd to be with my wonderful Girlfriend once again – the woman who single-handedly started me on the path to Jesus. I get to spend 10 wonderful days in her company. I cant wait for the day that we are married!
