A colleague of mine, sitting next to me this morning over breakfast, asked me somewhat out of the blue what type of Christian I was. He knew the name, because we had discussed it before, but forgot specifically i was a Baptist.
When i queried the reason to him he revealed to me that another recent new starter was in fact an Orthodox Christian. I approached this guy this morning and struck up a conversation about his religion, faith and we ended up discussing history and other things – albeit somewhat briefly. Fascinating!
It got me thinking though – why don’t we know this about our colleagues, friends and family? Why do people often keep their faith close to their chest? Why does it not come up?
