This Sunday, following on from my (formal) acceptance as a member of my local church last Sunday, I will conduct my first Bible reading to the congregation.
This may not seem like a big deal to some people but for me it is a very significant thing and it actually took great courage to ask the Pastor if I could be permitted to do so.
It will also be the first time I will have addressed a Church congregation in any capacity. I firmly believe that it is also a real first step in future ministry.
I believe that I have a significant faith, a good testimony to share, and a burning desire to spread the word of God. Expressing those things effectively, confidently and comfortably is a far harder proposition.
This Bible reading on Sunday is a way to begin that process I believe.
